An App I worked on Launched today!

When I was interning at Disney Consumer Products I animated a lot on Read with Doc Mcstuffins: Letters and Sounds. It was originally under the Imagicademy branding but may have changed due to it being terminated last year. Here is a short reel with some of the animations I did for the app, this is only a small sample of what I animated and does not include animation that I revised or animation that had more then myself working on it. Big thanks to my old team, and I hope you enjoy!

My Animation Internship was Extended to a Year!

Here is some released Animation from my Internship with DCPI (Frozen Science & Mickeys Space Math Games). The shots in this reel are from games that have been released on the market. All Audio and animation I am showing has been approved to show.

This is only a portion of the work I have been able to work on with DCPI, although a large portion of the work I do involves working on shots that have had many hands involved so I have chosen to only show some of the better work that I animated 100% of.

I animated all of these shots myself. Many of these shots are from my current Internship with Disney Consumer Products as an Animation Intern for the new Disney Imagicademy branch, part of Disney Learning.

Final Angelo Shot with reference and pushed poses

Here is a more polished version of my latest shot. I worked on polishing and eye trace so that the viewer would have an easier time tracking the characters movements by smearing the Rig. I was able to accomplish this with a few Squash and Stretch techniques.

Here are a few of my favorites in the shot.

Here is the original reference so that you can see how far the shot has come from the original idea

Fish Shot Angelo

This is a shot started to learn how to use the Patrick rig, I was inspired by audio from Parks and Recreation that lead to this enthusiastic fish. I am excited to animate several more shots with Patrick and hope you all enjoy them.

The Children's film I worked on (Edith and the Bear)

Edith and the Bear from hillary bradfield on Vimeo.

I worked on this film for around 3 months animating 8 shots, with my work in around 12 shots over all in the film. I produced ruff animation, tie downs, and some color for the final film. It was a great crew, a wonderful experience.

Tremble Footage

Here is a link to some footage from the video game I worked on this year. Release date is in August. The game is called Tremble, I was the lead animator on the characters and the Supervising animator on the rest of the game.

Final shots for End of the Vine

These These are my near finished shots for the student film I worked on this year "End of the Vine". I animated the character, the monster, and the user interface she works with. I did not model the characters, light the scene, or animate the explosion effect.

This weeks Tremble animation cycles

In my last semester at State I was working in collaboration with UCSC's video game engineers making the video game Tremble. The game should come out some time in August. I not only animated 90% of the character cycles but also was the supervising animator on the rest of the game. The only character cycle I did not animate is Ollie's tree climb. Once the game is up I will send a link, and post more in game footage as it comes out of Beta this week. It was a great experience working with the engineers, getting to meet and talk to John and Brenda Romero, and get to supervise animation, as well as animate on another game project.

4 Shots 1 Week and "Pillars of Hope" (Working Title)

Here are 4 shots I animated in the last week and a half for student film I am working on called Pillars of Hope. I did all of the shots simultaneously under supervising animator Nick Marshall. Jared Mills modeled the characters and set.

Our heroine trying to save the day with science.

Establishing shot of the monster growing front he size of a worm to a building.

The monster will be getting electrocuted in this shot.

Could not get this video to play in a better window due to it only being one-second. But the shot still does a good job of showing what the main character is in for.

Nintendo Charity Piece

It is that time of year again and time its Nintendo themed! I was Given Kirby as my subject for the Nintendo Charity event. My first paper craft was inspired by the ending of the original Kirby game for Game Boy; where Kirby flies away with King Dee Dee Dee's castle filled with treats. I always wondered what that looked like to the citizens of Dreamland, I hope I did it justice.

Getting Ready for CTN

Even though the shot isn't fully polished I wanted to render it and put it on my Reel for CTN. My reel is now fully updated if you want to click the link tab near the top of the page. I have had a lot of fun with this shot and I am sure I will be told to fix a hundred things. But that is one of the many reasons I can't wait to go to CTN (Creative Talent Network). If anyone is hopping to one day work in the Animation Industry going to CTN is a great learning experience!

Friends With Nerds

I was on my friends podcast Nerds With Friends last week. I was a little too far away from the microphone half the time (so I'm the quite one), but if you want to hear me and my friends talk about nerdy things check us out at,

Gang brought to Spline

I changed the camera angle, and put in a ruff lip sync when I brought my shot to spline. The cut was the only way to show the emotion in the beginning without loosing the body mechanics that followed almost immediately after.
